Petition to Count Visual Arts Courses for Non-technical Elective Credit

Currently, visual arts classes are not accepted for any department within the Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science as either technical or non-technical elective credit. As Columbia University prides itself on producing well-rounded engineers, we feel that receiving credit for courses in the Visual Arts Department will expand the educational opportunities available to the engineering student body.

We, the undersigned students of SEAS, have interest in and call for the acceptance of visual arts classes to count for non-technical elective credit toward degree requirements.
